Well it is true and as of Saturday TweenOut is now available on the Kindle. I thought long and hard about putting this blog on the Kindle, but after looking for other Flash and ActionScript blogs, there were not that many so I thought I would step this blog up to the plate. I’m hoping to start sharing a lot more thoughts on the industry and current happenings in our area of the country.
I think what Amazon is doing with the Kindle is a great opportunity for bloggers to get their message to people on the go. If you don’t have a Kindle I would recommend checking it out. I purchased the Kindle DX, which is the larger of the two, and I will say I’m glad that I did. The two features that I prefer over the smaller version is the rotating screen and the access to the web, yes you heard me, web! You have access to the World Wide Web, of course it views websites that are mostly text better and it will not show flash or movies but still, the web. To me those are great feature and I’m sure you will find them as great feature as well.
I will warn you about the Newspapers for Kindle. They are really pricey and you do not get all the sections that you would expect to get in the normal addition. I have tried the USA Today and The New York Times and both are really nice and they give you the news and that is it, no classifieds or other small sections. I really like them both but I just can’t see paying that much for those papers on the Kindle. I mean everything else on the Kindle is cheaper except the newspapers. I really don’t understand that but who and I to blow against the wind.
Well enough on that and I hope you take my suggestion and get one.
See you on the Kindle.
